Greetings, Parents and Guardians of Taft Primary School Students,

My name is Abraham Mobley, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal of Taft Primary School.

I bring 14 years of educational experience to Kankakee School District 111, most recently serving as the Assistant Principal at Kennedy Middle Grade Center. Prior to joining District 111, I served as a teacher, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal.

As we begin this school year together, I want to share what you can expect from me and the Taft staff. When you entrust your child to us each morning, please know that we do not take that responsibility lightly. Every decision we make will be guided by one simple question: "Is this in the best interest of students?"

Our work will be guided by three commitments:

Every Child, Every Day

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, challenged, and supported.

Partnership Through Trust and Communication

We believe parents are our partners, and we are committed to listening, communicating openly, and working together for every child.

High Expectations with a Caring Heart

We will challenge students to achieve their best while providing the care, encouragement, and support they need to succeed.

Finally, you can expect excellent customer service from our school. Calls will be returned, questions will be answered, and meetings will always be welcomed. We value our partnership with families and look forward to working together.

Enjoy the rest of your summer. I look forward to meeting each of you and making this a wonderful year for our Taft students.

With appreciation,

Abraham Mobley

Principal
